Yes after a year off in 2020 due to Covid we are back!

Our apologies for the extremely late notice, but due to insurance issues we weren’t even sure that we could pull it off this year.
However due to the wonderful support of Little Athletics Grafton, who are supporting us by hosting a Trial Day we are now able to go ahead.
We realise the extremely short notice means some of you may not be able to attend this year, our apologies.

So yes you really need to respond to this email asap, we literally have a fortnight to pull this off.

When: Monday 14th June Time: 8:15am Where: Athletics Field, Barnier Park Pine St, Junction Hill (Grafton) Cost: $7 per child ($20 max per family) Events: Age Sprints, Long Distance, Shot Put, Javelin, Discus, Long Jump, Novelty Events (if time permits) Register in 5 easy steps, please be sure to follow these steps to aid us preparing for an awesome day:

1) email Clarence Valley Home Educators at cvhomeed@gmail.com 2) List your children’s Full Name 3) Include their Date of Birth and Gender (*If you haven’t registered before) 4) Share/offer your skills/expertise to assist us in allocating volunteers (see below) 5) Send before Thursday 10th June On the day we will require your signature at the registration table, for Little A’s Trial Day form. *Encourage your children to begin training for Long Distance.

You must pre-register, turn ups on the day will not be able to compete.

A few housekeeping notes: This event is being run this year as a Little Athletics Grafton Trail Day event. We welcome a couple of representatives from the Club. The event is also supported by Home Education Australia. Cut off dates for registration will be adhered to strictly. Participation sheets and certificates are prepared before the day. And we need to get your team colours to you before the weekend of the event. We encourage parents, older siblings and grandparents to assist with the activities and enjoy the day. If you have been assigned to an activity and cannot fulfill that task, please notify us prior to the Sports Day Starting time is early to ensure we complete all events and Presentation by mid afternoon. With over 90 children attending we need to keep a tight schedule. We ask for dates of birth to best allocate your child as close as possible to his/her age peers. ie if your child is the only 15 yr old competing, having a birth date means we can make the fairest decision for all as to where to place your child.

The Sports Carnival is for children between the ages of 2yrs -19 yrs who are Home Educated only. This includes children who have been homeschooling and are now attending Tafe or pursuing other options, however it does not include children who are attending a ‘bricks and mortar’ school.
